VEReF has a three-member management team headed by its Executive Director with support from the Programmes Manager, and Finance & Administrative Manager which is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Foundation.
Management Team

Deodat E. Adenutsi (Dr/He/Him)
Dr. Adenutsi, the Executive Director, has over 20 years of organisational leadership and management experience, and has held this position with Volta Educational Renaissance Foundation (VEReF) since 2007. Dr. Adenutsi holds PhD in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch, MPhil and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics from the University of Cape Coast. He is a fellow and member of various professional bodies including the Chartered Finance and Investment Analysts, and Institute of Strategic Management (Nigeria).
Deodat has a rich experience and successes in grant proposal writing, project design, leadership and management, evidence-based research and reporting, project appraisal, monitoring, and evaluation. At VEReF, Dr. Adenutsi has won more than 30 grant proposals, including global competitive grants, developed more 100 administrative and management reporting templates, individually led over 80 projects successfully, and facilitated more than 200 professional training and capacity building sessions. Dr. Adenutsi is a member of various boards and committees at the community, district, national and international levels.
Wisdom Sackitey (Mr/He/Him)
Wisdom Sackitey holds the enviable position of Programmes Manager of VEReF and by this feat he is an integral part of Management of the Foundation. Mr. Sackitey is an economist by training having had his BA (Hons) and MSc degrees in economics from University of Cape Coast, Ghana. Prior to joining VEReF in 2018, he was the Warehousing and Port Operations Officer of the erstwhile Ghana Cocoa Marketing Company Limited at the Takoradi Port in the Western Region of Ghana for four years. Results-oriented and dedicated Mr. Sackitey also held the position of Programmes Director of Dzreke Virgins Group, a civil society organisation stationed at Tema in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana between 2010 and 2011. Wisdom has rich experience in project planning, management, and implementation; conflict analysis and peace negotiation; team management and leadership; and community mobilisation and advocacy. Since joining VEReF, he has led the implementation of 10 community-based projects successfully and facilitated more than 100 community-based sensitisation sessions.


Albertina Alipui (Ms/She/Her)
VEReF’ Finance & Administrative Manager, Ms Albertina Alipui, who has been working with VEReF since the year 2007, has over 25 years of relevant experience in organisational management, accounting, financial statement analysis and reporting, payroll, and human resource management. Her experience in grant management from the perspective of donors, internally generated fundraising, tax and other statutory compliance in various West African countries where VEReF operates. Ms Alipui has working experience in using various accounting software, including Tally, Peachtree, and QuickBooks to prepare financial statements and financial reports for Management, Board and donors. Prior to being engaged by VEReF, Albertina as a teacher in business management, accounting and commerce at Emit Commercial Institute and Windstrom Industries in Accra.
Albertina holds a BSc in Economics and Accounting, RSA Stage III, Ghana, ICM (UK). She benefitted from various donor-funded training programmes and mentorship in financial reporting, management, and control as well as organisational leadership, effective community mobilisation, counselling, and mentorship.
